Relay For Life

Rock and Roll Cat supports cancer survivors, cancer research, and awareness. It is personal for founder Colin Alflen having both parents battle cancer, and the passing of his mother, Marcia Alflen. “We call her a Cancer Warrior because her spirit will live on and cancer will not”. -Colin Alflen- 

I have created the ‘Forget Your Sickness And Dance’ & 'Cassette Forget Your Sickness' artwork in loving memory of my mother, Marcia Alflen. All proceeds from this tee will be donated to Relay For Life on her behalf. If you would like to make a separate donation you can click the link here. 

The funds raised through Relay For Life will not only honor survivors and remember loved ones, but also help give cancer patients and their families the resources they need, like free rides to chemo, free places to stay near hospitals, and a live 24/7 helpline for answers and support.

Relay For Life is a team fundraising cancer walk event where team members take turns walking around a track or designated path. Each event is 6-24 hours in length and each team is asked to have a member on the track at all times to signify that cancer never sleeps. Cancer patients don't stop because they're tired, and for one night, neither do we.

Money raised through Relay For Life events goes to the following efforts:

• Research grants and research programs
• Prevention programs
• Community and patient support programs
• Detection and treatment programs
• Fundraising
• Construction of Hope Lodges
• Provide more than 380,000 rides to and from treatment or medical appointments
